That looks like a pretty decent roll XD (I know very little about DnD, have seen the boys roll characters)

Currency is a pain in the proverbial (especially if dyscalculiac x_x), I generally just decide based on how many dots a character has in resources whether they'd be able to get/do something that requires money.

So far sounds like a normally edgy character to me, we'll have to see in the playing how That Guy you are XD

Whenever I've gotten a chance to play (not often), my characters have gone in with backstories because that made it a lot easier for the GMs to plot hook. I also like player characters to have backstories for exactly the same reason. With my current group that sometimes involves making things up on the fly during the prelude because 1/5 is a lazy sod, 2/5 still need/want help/guidance, and 1/5 apparently makes up backstories on the fly so I did what I did with T in the last game and hit him with amnesia and made a backstory that he either now has to discover (T's character was quite intent on getting her memories back but had trouble finding out where to start) if he's interested or that will come and bite him either way XD
