Is usefulness only to do with cooking? What if Izzy was a hopeless cook but amazing at sewing or mending or repairing cars or a qualified electrician or a leet haxor or could grow anything out of granite? :D

Ergh that keeping the kids out of the kitchen/helping with chores thing because you "just want it done" or they're not doing it up to your standards does my head in. And people wonder why their lazy good for nothing kids won't help with the chores after actively preventing them their entire lives o_O
