It was a bit sad but such is life I guess? We can only try to mitigate problems in the future. I love my flowers ^_

If you get bees make sure they're facing away from your house, they will still come to your garden to get the flowers but they seem to loiter a bit less that way (purely anecdotal evidence from having observed a wild bee nest nearby and how our hive behaves). If you take the honey that's a bonus otherwise just providing some very important pollinators with a safe house is good for your garden and the environment and ecosystems in general :)
