Getting an “official” letter from Trezor (or Ledger)?
“Urgent security check! Authentication Check® becomes mandatory as of February 15, 2026. Scan the QR code, or you’ll lose access to Trezor Suite!”
Classic move: QR → phishing site (perfect copy of Trezor/Ledger interface) → “device error”, “sync required” → enter your seed phrase (12/24 words).
Once you type it in — hello, empty wallet. Funds fly off instantly to the “feed the starving hackers” fund.
This is a massive 2026 campaign: letters come from the US (even though Trezor is in Czechia), fake signatures (like “Matej Žák, Ledger CEO” on a Trezor letterhead — lol). Databases have been leaking for years (Ledger 2020 breach, earlier Trezor leaks), and now users pay the price for their shitty security.
Rule #1:
Any request for your seed, PIN, or “QR activation” = 100% scam.
Trezor and Ledger never send paper letters with QR codes, never call/DM you asking for your phrase.
If you got one — snap a pic in comments/report to support, but do NOT scan!
Protect your seeds, mammoths. Don’t feed the hackers. 🛡️💀
