Report cards are done, sort of. Some tweaking that needs to be done but the notes I need, I left at school and, this close to Christmas, I don't go in on the weekend. Several years ago, I had to take a medical leave for stress and one of the things that was decided at the time was that I would not go in on weekends when I returned. I am trying to adhere to that with this return to teaching after these past years, but it hasn't been easy. It helps that I do not remember the alarm procedures for the building (Yes, I know that there are usually teachers in the building on the weekend but this is my reason).
Still fighting this stupid cold but I can't miss anymore days this close to Christmas. I am missing two afternoons over the next two weeks because of District professional development initiatives that they wanted me to take as a new teacher in the SD.
Anyway, Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi comes out this coming Friday. I can't wait but I will have to because I will be likely needing to wait until after Christmas, when I go home, to see it. The local theatre is small, not a huge concern, but it will be crowded and with the tight seats, uncomfortable (plus there is an expectation that I attend my staff Xmas party and there are some evening events at the school that I will be required to attend).
