Salvation comes directly from God as a free gift to us, it does not depend on the religion which we belong. While religion can help people learn about God, worship together, and grow spiritually, it is a genuine relationship with Christ, marked by faith, repentance, and obedience, that leads to salvation.
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
The bible teaches us to also join a religion that speaks about the truth and love of God. True biblical faith is shown by a transformed life that follows God's will, not by religious labels alone. Therefore, religion by itself cannot save, but a sincere faith in Christ expressed through faithful obedience is the biblical path to salvation.
