There is nothing better (well maybe there is) than walking along a Riverside and looking at the reflections on the water, getting that view of what is above as is also below.
The reflections on a River, In a Puddle, at a harbour, these are the opportunities I personally get.
I love walking along our harbour and seeing the reflections of the boats and masts on the still water, It gives me a sense of peace and a sense of wonder.
Seeing these types of reflections also gives you time, space and place to have inner reflections, the peacefulness and sound of water is a great conduit for taking the time to smell the roses and look inwards for some self reflection.
Spending the time to look, see, observe and ingest will create a stronger foundation for what is to come. It will allow you to know yourself, your surroundings and your directions far
Reflection of self, actions and directions is a must if one is to move forwards with confidence and learn from things that have occurred in the past.
A reflection will often give you a truer picture than the reality itself.
Like looking in a mirror, you can see yourself through your own eyes and make necessary adjustments so things feel right
Without reflection we would not know the difference between reality and non reality. Without reflection direction and growth are not possible.
Next time you stand next to a Puddle, alongside a River, into a mirror, look into it, really look into it and see things through new eyes
