I am trying my best to wake up early and hit the road for a run, and I'll say it directly: it is not that easy. I am eager to take running a bit seriously this time since I am working on my personal best.
I started preparing by having a light breakfast: a snack bar. Then I did my usual full-body warm-up exercises. I set up my smartwatch for the run, and here's my simple running outfit.
It was still dark outside when I hit the road. I started with a few minutes of walking to warm up my feet and muscles. The road was quiet, and only a few vehicles passed by; most were people going to work or school.
I started the run, and all I can say is that I need to work on my running since my heart rate is still high during runs. Around 5 kilometers, I could already feel soreness in my foot muscles, but it felt good. I can feel the heat in my whole body, too.
My run ended at only 8.33 kilometers today. I wanted to hit 10km, but I still have work to do. I went home and had breakfast after my cool-down exercises. I grabbed a cup of coffee, and then got myself ready for work.
It's just another day of running before anything else. It has always felt good to be this productive so early.
