Grand light festival
As one of the major New Year light festivals in Beijing, the 10th Lights Festival of the Solana Lifestyle Shopping Park began recently.
This year, the festival is in cooperation with the world-renowned Amsterdam light festival, and has invited artists from around the world to showcase their award-winning light installations. The event runs through Feb 28.

Opera Film Carmen (French)
The French opera film Carmen, directed by Tiziano Mancini, will be screened in Beijing on Saturday. It will be played in French, with English and Chinese subtitles.
Based on the novel of the same name by Prosper Mérimée, Carmen was the last work of famous French composer Georges Bizet, telling stories of the working class and ordinary people. It's also one of the most popular operas in the world.
