Now I have a better understanding of what you were trying to tell me.

This could actually work and would be a nice addition to the author reward pool without increasing Hive inflation.

The views are here bruh.

Across all interfaces, we probably got around 10m monthly unique viewers. These 10m people visit at least a couple of pages per visit, naturally incurring at least a few impressions per session. Not sure about the cost per 1000 impression as it varies greatly but let's say that it's somewhere in the .5 and .8c range. That would bank the platform distributing the ads anywhere in the range of 10k to 24k $/mo.

Not a bad place to start.

The only problem with this idea, apart from the technical implementation side which both of us thankfully don't know jack shit about, is that every single motherfucking hustler on this platform will try to game this.

I can already feel the hello sers overflowing the comment section.

Hello dear. Upvote me and I upvote you back ser.

Jokes aside, people will try to bot this out on day one.

Even worse, click farms are real and there are actually real people clicking on a bunch of smartphones all day long for a paycheck. So, gauging views would be rather difficult. I don't know if this is something that can be easily dealt with. What I do know is that this is something that the platform itself should fix even before releasing because if it can't discern real from fake views it's worthless.

companies that are actually paying can easily determine which account is legit and which isn't, and even if they're wrong, it's their money.

This won't cut it. No one is actually going to be willing to risk investing in ads that could quite possibly turn out to be seen only by a bunch of bots.
