The Vortex is Open - 📸🔧Photomanipulation

Hi hi Hive! This is my first Alien Art Hive post.

The aesthetic of my photomanipulations and composites tend to fit well with the theme, I think.

I hope you all agree and enjoy this entry. I'll hopefully post more in the future.

If you live in Atlanta, you're probably familiar with the famous restaurant/comedy venue (Laughing Skull Comedy), The Vortex.

Monday, I had work to do in the area, so my girlfriend and I took a brief walk around followed by an outdoor, socially-distanced lunch.

I'm not typically a portrait shooter and technically had the wrong lens for the job, but I was content with our impromptu session. If I could do it over I'd better pose my model, perhaps with her arms outstretched towards the darkened entrance.

I was pleased that her outfit fit in quite nicely with the facade, so I decided to focus the following edits on the colour red as well as the cuved and swirling lines:
