It's another beautiful Tuesday for #ttt. For this week I will be sharing collaborations from a beautiful Nigerian power couple. They are both musician and they sometimes some of their collaborations talks about their love journey before and after they got married.
These couple are Simisola Bolatito Kosoko and Adekunle Kosoko whose stage name are Simi and Adekunle Gold. From their story, it was revealed that they both met in 2013 at a show that Simi performed in. They became friends and their friendship eventually turned serious relationship.
They dated for 5 years before he proposed to her in 2018 which she accepted. They got married in 2019 and the union is blessed with a daughter named Adejare Kosoko.
All through their journey together, both were a source of inspiration to each other as some of the songs they released were songs that passes messages of their love. I have always loved their collaborations and today I will be sharing three of my favorites.
NO FORGET - ADEKUNLE GOLD FT SIMI
This song was released in 2016 while they were still courting and it delivers a message of love and perseverance.
Here Adekunle Gold urges Simi not to be pressured by the fact that he is not wealthy at the moment and told her to be patient for him. He promised to hustle hard to take care of her. He told her "not to forget" their journey together as he is going to seek greener pastures and he is afraid to lose her to a rich person.
Simi in turn told him to be watchful of those ladies who would do everything to get his attention because they can't love him like she does. He further reaffirms that he only got eyes for her.
PROMISE - SIMI AND ADEKUNLE GOLD
They got married in 2019 and this song was also released after their wedding. They had a private wedding and I guess it's to give their fans a sneak peek into their wedding as the music video shows some cut scenes from their video.
The song gave a message of eternal love as it was like a seal to bind their love forever. They both promised each other lots of love and support as they journeyed together into a new married life. They both Promised each there they will grow old together and ride together till 144 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.
BY YOU - SIMI FT ADEKUNLE GOLD
This song was also released in 2019 where they both reaffirm their love for each other. They vowed to stay with each other in better and worst times.
They asserted that their union is by God and they trust in Him to lead the way for them and they further assured each other that when faces with challenges, they will both be there for each other.
This kind of love is one people usually use for the phrase "God When" which means to ask God when He will give them their own missing rib 🤗🤗🤗 who would love and cherish them too.
