George Harrison (February 25, 1943, United Kingdom - November 29, 2001) One of the most talented 20th century genius singers and guitarists. But his talent is not limited to the two. His field of play was extensively directed by music management, record production and film production. He became famous as one of the four members of the famous band musician The Beatles.

This popular English artist of pop music organized the Concert for Bangladesh program on 1 August, 1971 in Madison Square Garden, New York City, at the request of Pandit Ravi Shankar during the Bangladesh Liberation War of Bangladesh. 2,50,000 collected from this concert was given to the refugees of Bangladesh.

When Bangladesh's liberation war was going on in 1971, George Harrison hosted two charity concerts in the premises of Madison Square Garden, New York, on the advice of his friend Ravi Shankar. In addition to George Harrison, Robi Shankar, Bob Dillan, Eric Clapton, Apra Beatle Rango Starr and many others performed in the show. In the concert, George Harrison performed his own written Bangladesh song. The money received from concert tickets, CDs and DVDs is credited to UNICEF fund.

Harrison's neck cancer was diagnosed in 1997. Then he was given radiotherapy, which was thought to be successful. In 2001, the cancer tumor was removed from his lungs. On November 29, 2001, Harrison died of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer at the age of 58.

He was cremated at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Then his body was spread to the river Ganga and Yamuna, near Kashi, India. The family members of his family completed his funeral in Hinduism. Harrison's last album Brainwashed (2002) ended his two sons.
