I know am not such a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. It’s something I’ve never really fancied before and hopefully, it won’t change in future. To supplement for Vals days we are always blessed with Champions League games on Vals day so we are able to get our minds off it.
I don’t really subscribe to the notion that it’s a difficult task to get a gift for a man. Are men even hard to please in the first place? While some men have very high taste most men don’t actually care what you get them but the singular fact that you saw something and instantly thought of us is a good sign for us.
I would be a hypocrite if I didn’t condemn the boxer shorts and singlets kind of gifts lol. Yes, I know it’s lovely when you buy boxers and singlets for a man but it’s not an expensive thing. I know I said we didn’t care about expensive but something which is thoughtful. What stops a lazy from taking out her 300 cedis or 250 to get a very nice shoe for her man? I personally don’t see anything wrong with the boxer and singlet combi but I’d love a shoe more than a boxer and singlet.
At times I think a lot of ladies find it hard too because they don’t listen to you when you’re having a genuine conversation with them. As long as you’re together there are times you’d tell her what you’d really like at a point in time but since she’s not listening she wouldn’t even remember what you said.
Now, is it so hard to get a gift for a man? I don’t think so. The confusion I think also comes about the cause for some women they wouldn’t wanna spend a lot of money getting a gift for a man. For me, I know I don’t expect gifts from a lady am going out with, especially if it’s a vals Day gift. I already said I didn’t fancy Valentine so getting me something on Valentine's days wouldn’t even make me happy lol. It’d be better if you kept it and gave it to me on the 15th rather than on the 14th.
I don’t expect gifts from my woman but if she’d surprise me with something at least once in a year it would be very lovely.
So, my dear ladies, it’s not difficult to get a gift for a man. You can get him a shoe, a T-shirt, a headset and many other things. Kill the culture of gifting us with boxers all the time.
