Greetings dear community, what if today we talk about what we are looking for from a video game, nowadays video games are a sale of interactive entertainment, a job, among many other things, for no one is a secret that today there is a lot of demand for video games, more graphics, more resolution, more FPS, the typical but is that what we really want from the games?
From this post I will give you an approach of what at least I look for from a video game in a generative way, without going into game categories.
A good video game must have a good protagonist or protagonists, empathize with them is essential for the development of the game, whether their physical characteristics, or narrative, our avatar must create a bond between us and them, without empathy for the character there is no good game.
Another fundamental aspect is the development of the character or characters, this involves their fall and redemption also known as historical arc, an evolution of our avatars, either by means of mechanics or by their development when facing obstacles will make our attention go directly to them.
El video juego debe tener unas bases mecánicas muy sólidas, una bases mecánicas que respeten en todo momento las reglas que el juego te da es importante debido a que si se deja de cumplir, entonces el juego pierde interés.
Ample content, in this sense if I agree with the masses, a video game too short makes you feel that the adventure did not last that ended earlier than expected giving the feeling that it lacks content or that it was not finished, but here I must make a small parenthesis, having a number of hours with filler or repeated content is not ideal, it ends up making the game repetitive and tiring.
Another aspect of video games that I look for is the decision making that my avatar allows me to do, or rather that the game allows me to take different routes to make decisions that affect the gameplay or the development of the story.
