I always enjoy walking through the forest. The smell of rainfall, the wet leaves, and the sounds of all the "wildlife" that's inhabiting it. My favorite season to wander around nature must be Autumn. The sight of color variety is just pretty, this transition makes me think that nothing is ever going to be the same, so it would be useless to judge.

The endless cycle of life and death is beautiful from start till the end. Even though we all got our moments when we think that we have to "hang in there" for just a little longer. It's just like the leaves on the trees, right? If that's true, then that's where the magic happens and change will occur.

And even death itself could be interpreted differently as the leaves on the tree will regrow, in something different, yet with the same DNA. It would be more or less considered to be a rebirth.

I scanned through my old files, and found images that I always wanted to work on. I always ended up not being satisfied with the results. Just a color correction wouldn't do it for me. The presence of fog allowed me to make unique images that I couldn't take every day.

In post-edit, I knew I could achieve a different kind of effect with the right editing technique. I took these back in 2015, and finally, after 5 years, I can finally publish them. It has been a long road with lots of trial-and-error, but I think they turned out wonderful. Something that I would print and hang on the wall.

While getting this end-result didn't take me long to achieve. Especially if you want to compare it to the time I've been trying to get them right. These images finally received the feeling of what I had in mind.

I hope you enjoyed these images as much as I have enjoyed digging them up again.

Cheers,
Ruben
