She woke up and
Most of her body
Was water

As the day waved
She was a sea
Discovering thought
Islands for this community

The share of her shores
Is soft on bare feet
Infinite broken glass
Made the sand complete

Even at night
When the biome hides
The essence outline
Is left behind

Even when
She closes her eyes
Her memories
Are left behind

Bravery

Dance before me
When they’ve pressed my shoulders
Into the soil beneath

Shine above me
When they’ve sharpened words
To pass through their teeth

Warm my insides
When they’ve summoned
The wintertide

Cover and clothe me
So my sprit is preserved

And my creativity is spared
From frost burn
