Thanks to @boxcarblue for introducing me to #TTT and
@ablaze for dreaming it up.
One of Canada's most famous folk singers has passed away, Gordon Lightfoot. His hits were way back during the 70's, even so, as with most good singer/songwriters his music is timeless. It was hard to only pick 3 tunes from his catalog, but here are 3 I think most people can enjoy.
Sundown. I heard this song several years ago while at a rock shop in Arizona. I hadn't heard it since I was a child, but man it triggered a euphoric reaction when I heard it.
Second up is "If You Could Read My Mind". A brilliant composition of love and losing it.
Last selection was a tough one. He has so many great folk tunes about life, love and history, but this one hits home. I've loved listening to it down some lonely highways in the Western US, "Carefree Highway".
Time to slip away...... RIP Gordon. You're music lives on.
Thanks for reading!
