The Sticker Era Has Begun! Exploring Splinterlands’ New Sticker Shop
Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!
At first, I thought dealing with stickers in Collector Binders would be pretty simple. Pick a sticker, put it in the binder, and you're done. Turns out, I was wrong. Splinterlands apparently had a much more interesting idea in mind. Artisan Stickers are now officially live, as part of a new feature called the Splinterlands Sticker Shop.
What caught my attention is that these stickers aren't simply decorations created by the developers. Many of them are made by players and members of the Splinterlands community themselves. So this time, players aren't just people who buy cards, open packs, collect assets, or fight on the battlefield. Players can also become creators and leave their own mark on the world of Splinterlands.
I think the term Sticker Era is actually a pretty fitting way to describe this small but interesting change.
To find the Sticker Shop, go to the Play menu and select Land. Then click on Artisan Quarter at the top. There, you'll find the Sticker tab, where you can browse and collect various community-created stickers and sticker packs.
The pricing is pretty straightforward too. A single sticker costs 200 DEC or Credits, while a sticker pack costs 800 DEC or Credits.
But what interests me isn't really the price. I'm more interested in where the money from these purchases goes. Sticker sales are shared between the sticker creators and the DAO. So when we buy a sticker we like, we're not just getting a decoration for our Collector Binder. We're also supporting the person who created that artwork.
And that's where the community aspect really starts to show.
Many of the early creators are active members of the community and Splinterlands influencers. We can find their names through the Artisan Quarter, check out the collections they've created, and follow their work on social media. We can even send stickers to other players.
I find this interesting because the relationship between players and a game usually feels pretty one-way. Developers create something, and players use it. Now there's a space in between: the community can create something, and those creations can become part of the game ecosystem.
And considering how many stickers have already been created by contributing players, I feel this feature could become more than just binder decoration. It could become a kind of small album documenting the creativity of the Splinterlands community.
For new players, I think there's an important lesson here: don't look at Splinterlands only through the lens of battles and rewards. Pay attention to the community ecosystem too. Features like the Sticker Shop show that player contributions can actually have a place within the game world.
Personally, my Collector Binder feels a little more alive now. There are cards to collect, stories behind them, and now there are stickers created by fellow players.
So if you have some DEC or Credits and come across a design you really like, don't rush to see it as just another cosmetic item. Take a look at who created it. You might find that by buying a single sticker, you're helping a community creator continue doing what they love.
