Rainbow Collection in Splinterlands: Five Foil Versions, One Big Ambition!
Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!
If the two previous achievements, Essence Orbs and Orcs, still felt reasonably achievable through gradual progress, this time we're diving into a challenge that might make some collectors take a deep breath. It's called Rainbow Collection, one of the most exciting and challenging parts of the Collector Achievements feature, officially launched on October 27, 2026.
Why is it called Rainbow? Because owning just one card, or even a single Gold version, isn't enough. To complete this achievement, you must own one card in five different foil versions:
- Regular
- Gold
- Gold Arcane
- Black
- Black Arcane
And simply owning them isn't enough. All versions must be at their maximum level according to the achievement requirements.
Honestly, when I saw these requirements, I immediately imagined how long the journey would be. Getting just one card can sometimes take patience, let alone collecting five foil versions and leveling them all up to the maximum. This is no longer just a collecting hobby. It's more like a long-term project that requires planning, resources, and a little courage when facing your account balance!
At the initial launch of Collector Achievements, eight Rainbow challenges were available, divided into card categories.
For Conclave Arcana Common, there are four options:
- Cavewise Wayfinder
- Steppe Stalker
- Mad Kaboomist
- Gonach Excavator
If you complete one of these collections, you can choose the Rainbow Rider reward, which provides a 15% ranked-play bonus, or the Quarry Golem Land Feat, which offers 3,000 Production Power, 15% Bountiful Stone, and -20% Light Rationing.
Next, the Conclave Arcana Rare category features two challenges:
- Halfshell Seer
- Happy Quokka
The reward options are Rainbow Wrangler, with a 20% ranked-play bonus, or the Bowman Woodward Land Feat, with 5,000 Production Power, 20% Bountiful Wood, and -30% Light Rationing.
Meanwhile, the Frontier Common category offers:
- Dread Tafarian
- Spitting Camel
Players who complete either one can choose Rainbow Achiever, with a 10% ranked-play bonus, or the Hellaphant Hauler Land Feat, with 500 Production Power, 7% Bountiful Stone, and -10% Light Rationing.
Interestingly, each card has its own achievement. That means we don't have to complete all eight challenges to earn rewards. Just one achievement gives us one opportunity to choose a reward.
The Real Collector's Challenge
In my opinion, Rainbow Collection is the achievement that best reflects a collector's dedication. The requirements aren't just about the number of cards, but also about foil variations and reaching the maximum level.
On the other hand, this feature provides fresh motivation to expand a collection. Players who previously focused solely on finding cards for battles might start pursuing specific foil versions instead.
However, I wouldn't recommend that new players make Rainbow their primary goal right away. The cost and effort required to collect five foil versions at maximum level are certainly substantial. It's better to start with the cards you already own and gradually fill in the gaps.
There's one more thing to keep in mind: prefix title bonuses do not stack. Only the highest eligible bonus will apply in battle. So don't chase multiple titles assuming their bonuses can all be added together.
My advice is to choose one Rainbow card that interests you the most. Check the prices, level requirements, and available resources before starting your hunt. Don't push yourself too hard just for the sake of earning a title.
After all, a rainbow is beautiful because it has many colors. But in Splinterlands, the journey of collecting all five colors may turn out to be the most rewarding story of all. 馃槃
