Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!

In the second week of October, I'm back with another story from the Brawl arena with the ClaNFT guild. In the previous Brawl, I could still smile proudly at the results of my battles. This time, though, I have to hang my head a little. Apparently, victories can't be ordered like food at a local food stall. Sometimes they come in bunches, and other times they bring along a friend called defeat.

Out of 9 battles, I managed to contribute 18 points to the guild. My record consisted of 6 wins and 3 losses. However, I have to admit that all six victories were automatic wins because my opponents didn't submit teams to the arena.

That means I actually had three chances to sweep all the battles that required a real fight. Unfortunately, I failed to make the most of those opportunities. The opponents who showed up in the arena turned out to be tougher than I expected.

Naturally, that was a little disappointing. Six wins look good on paper, but those three losses reminded me that I still have plenty of strategies to learn. In Splinterlands, having good cards isn't enough. We also need to read the battle rules, choose the right monster combinations, and understand how our opponents build their defenses.

As a result, my contribution this time wasn't enough to help ClaNFT secure a higher position. In the final standings, our guild had to settle for 3rd place.

Even so, there's still some good news from this Brawl. Every member who participated fully received 2,150 Merits, while players with a Spellbook received 33,551 staked SPS.

For me, these rewards have become even more important following the update that removed SPS earnings from battles in Modern mode. Because of that, Brawl has become one of the ways I can build up my SPS holdings, alongside staking rewards.

Meanwhile, I continue collecting Merits to complete my Gladiator card collection. It certainly isn't an overnight process, but little by little, the results will eventually add up.

I think that's one of the benefits of joining a guild. Brawl isn't just a place to hunt for rewards; it's also a space where we can learn together. Newer players can discover different strategies, observe how their guildmates arrange their lineups, and learn to accept defeat without immediately blaming the cards they own.

In the end, these three losses aren't a reason to give up. Instead, I need to review my team selections and try again in the next Brawl.

See you in the next Splinterlands story. Hopefully, the next Brawl will be a little kinder to my troops!
