Battling with the Healing Combo: Strategies and Tips for Splinterlands Warriors
Hello, my fellow warriors and rivals in Splinterlands. This week, the community has launched a challenge inviting players to share their favorite strategies, explaining how they work, and the key cards supporting them. This time, I chose the healing combo strategy—honestly, it's a lifesaver when facing relentless enemy attacks!
Strategy: The Healing Fortress
The core of this strategy is to focus enemy attacks on a single point and then rely on powerful healing abilities to make those attacks almost ineffective. Each enemy strike is quickly countered by my team’s healing abilities. Isn’t it thrilling? You keep hitting, but I stay standing!
For this combo, I use the Life element, with a lineup featuring Djinn Renova, Iziar, and Spirit Hoarder. This combination is highly effective, especially against magic-based teams, as Iziar’s Void ability reduces the impact of enemy magic attacks. With high health, Iziar can also withstand melee and ranged attacks well.
Placement Tactics: Keeping Iziar Safe
The Triage abilities of Djinn Renova and Spirit Hoarder are critical to this strategy, but they’re only effective if Iziar is placed at the back. If Iziar is up front, the healing combo falls apart, making Iziar vulnerable to heavy attacks. Placing Iziar in the back splits the enemy’s focus between the frontline and Iziar, giving the healers enough time to work.
Supporting Team: Tank and Chaos
While Djinn Renova, Iziar, and Spirit Hoarder form the core of this strategy, they need extra support, especially in medium to high mana battles. Here, I positioned Pelacor Conjurer upfront. With Magic Reflect and Divine Shield, Pelacor Conjurer reflects some magic attacks in the early rounds. I strengthened Pelacor Conjurer with Aves Sturgis, ensuring the frontline stays solid and Pelacor Conjurer can also go on the offensive.
As a bonus, I added Chaos Dragon to create chaos in the enemy’s ranks. With Blast and Scattershot, Chaos Dragon makes my attacks unpredictable, hitting enemies in random positions. This element of surprise makes it harder for opponents to predict my strategy, and when it works, the result is deeply satisfying.
The Battle: Facing a Well-Planned Opponent
Now, let’s talk about the battle. My opponent this time was no joke. They used a legendary summoner enabling Coastal Sentry to strike with Double Strike from the second position, and had two Opportunity monsters, Deeplurker and Kulu Mastermind, targeting my weakest monster. Alongside, they had Merdaali Guardian and Scavo Hireling, continuously repairing their armor.
In short, their strategy was similar to mine, but they focused on armor repair rather than direct healing. This meant I faced a solid defense. Iziar was poisoned at one point, but with Chaos Dragon’s Blast spreading damage to their backline, we managed to hold our ground.
Key Moments and Lessons Learned
The highlight was when Iziar held on despite relentless attacks, especially as the poison took effect. The most exciting part? Chaos Dragon’s Blast unexpectedly turned the tide, weakening their frontline. My healers, Djinn Renova and Spirit Hoarder, kept Iziar alive, reminding me of the importance of teamwork and timing in Splinterlands, where every second counts.
One big takeaway: while this healing combo is powerful, it has a weakness. If the opponent has a monster with healing-blocking abilities, this strategy is entirely countered. So, while I enjoy using this strategy, I stay alert for any signs of Healing Blocker monsters in the enemy lineup.

Final Thoughts
So, what did I learn? In Splinterlands, adaptation is everything. This game constantly pushes us to improvise, and that’s what makes each battle so exciting. This healing combo proved effective in this match, and I’ll definitely use it again, but there’s never a guarantee. In the end, I walked away from this battle with a win and a newfound appreciation for the depth of strategy in Splinterlands.
