Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!
What do you think about the bracket and division system in Modern mode that we have now started using? For me, a system change like this certainly makes the playing experience feel a little different. There are new rules to understand, strategies that need to be adjusted, and of course, a little confusion that usually comes as a free bonus.
While trying to understand the new system, I continued with my usual routine: Brawl with the ClaNFT guild.
And this time, the result was enough to put a smile on my face.
Out of 8 battles, I managed to get 7 wins and only 1 loss. Of those seven wins, 3 were automatic wins because my opponents did not submit a team to the arena.
So, if anyone looks at my record and thinks I have suddenly become a Brawl monster, I have to be a little honest. Three of those wins came without me even having to play a card from my collection. But still, an automatic win is also part of the game. The important thing is not to lose to an opponent who did not even show up. Now that would be a truly embarrassing group effort.
From those results, I managed to contribute 21 points to the guild. That contribution helped ClaNFT maintain a pretty good position, finishing 2nd place in this Brawl.
Of course, a result like this makes me happy. But what I find more interesting is how Brawl continues to become part of my regular gaming routine. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, sometimes we get a strong opponent, and sometimes we even get a victory because the opponent did not show up.
For every member who participated fully, the reward this time was 2,650 Merits, while players with a Spellbook received 32,786 staked SPS.
And this is where I once again see the benefit of participating consistently in Brawl. The Merits we earn do not immediately turn our collection into something extraordinary. But when we accumulate them little by little, the results start to become noticeable.
Right now, my Merits have reached 7,566. The next target is clear: I want to keep collecting until I reach 20,000 Merits, then open a Gladius Case.
For me, routines like this are also one of the benefits of joining a guild. New players do not just get a place to compete, but also an environment where they can learn. We can observe other players' strategies, exchange experiences, understand different rulesets, and learn that losing does not always mean our strategy was bad—sometimes the opponent was simply smarter that time.
Brawl also teaches patience. There is no need to rush after big results. The important thing is to keep playing, keep learning, and keep growing our resources.
So, for now, my journey toward 20,000 Merits and a Gladius Case continues.
My advice: don't underestimate small wins and small rewards. When collected consistently, they can eventually turn into a card collection that puts a smile on your face.
See you in the next Brawl! VONAK! 🔥
