Namaste everyone, happy weekend i believe our weekend is going smootly, this new prompt really talk about what im going through recently.........
To be honest, I consider myself healthy. I don鈥檛 really have body fat, and people always tell me I鈥檓 slim and I look fit already. But deep down, I know that being slim doesn鈥檛 always mean you鈥檙e fit, and that鈥檚 something I鈥檓 beginning to pay more attention to.
Before now, I didn鈥檛 really do much fitness activity. I would just go about my daily life walking, doing house chores, maybe climbing stairs once in a while, and I鈥檒l tell myself I鈥檓 active enough 馃槄. But recently, I started noticing small things that made me question my fitness level. For example, I get tired quickly when I climb stairs or when I try to run small distance. That鈥檚 when it hit me that being slim is not the same as being strong or fit.
The funny thing is, a few weeks ago, they introduced a fitness program in my workplace. It started with a few people showing interest, and then the management decided to make it official. Every Friday morning now, we do 30 minutes of exercise before work begins. At first, I was shy to join, because I didn鈥檛 want to be jumping around in front of people. But I finally joined last week and let me just say, it opened my eyes.
We did simple exercises, stretching, squats, jogging in place, and some sit-ups. My legs were shaking after just 15 minutes! I was sweating like someone that ran 5 miles. That day, I realized how unfit I was inside, even though my body looks okay on the outside.
So now, I鈥檝e made a personal decision. I want to stay fit intentionally, not just by looks. I鈥檝e started doing some light home workouts in the morning just for 15 to 20 minutes. Nothing heavy. I use YouTube videos for beginners, and it has been helping me gradually,i go dey do as they do馃榾
Also, I鈥檝e started watching what I eat a bit more. I drink more water now, and I avoid eating late at night. I won鈥檛 lie, I still eat my favourite foods like rice, spaghetti, and small chops especially at parties 馃槃, but I鈥檓 learning balance.
To me, being fit and healthy means feeling strong, being able to move freely without stress, and just feeling good in your body. It鈥檚 not about six packs or gym life. It鈥檚 just about caring for your body and building strength inside and out.
So yes, I think I鈥檓 healthy ,but I want to stay fit on purpose. Thanks to the fitness routine at work, I鈥檓 now more conscious of my body, and I鈥檓 taking small steps to improve.
We only get one body in this life, so why not take care of it?
Thanks for stopping by and reading my post,Enjoy the rest of your day
With Love
