Nice. :D For me it's almost the only way as I don't go out a lot so making contacts in person I find hard. But online aside of clients finding me I've found communities where I can meet other artists and that can help a lot too. Sometimes if I feel what a client asks is not for me I'll recommend another artist friend, and they do the same.
