You may remember this building from a post I did about the golden autumn in Austria. Recently I decided to take a ride over and see it under a blanket of snow. Du kannst dich vielleicht an dieses Gebäude von meinem Post über den goldenen Herbst in Österreich erinnern. Kürzlich habe ich beschlossen, Lofer unter einer Schneedecke zu sehen. Es war eigentlich mittags, aber ich habe nicht daran gedacht, daß die Wintersonne längst hinter den Bergen sein würde. Natürlich keine optimale Zeit zum fotografieren, aber ich habe trotzdem ein paar Fotos gemacht. Although it was in the middle of the day, I had forgotten that the winter sun would already be blocked by the mountains. Naturally it wasn't an optimal time to take photos, but I took a few anyway.
It was frustrating on the highway there. During most of the short trip it was sunny and very cold, and there were long Cirrus like clouds with thin, wispy strands spread over the valley. The mountains were aglow in sunshine, and the people were skiing along cross-country trails. It was perfect, except there was absolutely no place to stop. It was truly beautiful and I wish I could share that with you.Es war frustrierend als ich auf der Bundesstrasse unterwegs war. Während der kurzen Fahrt war es sonnig und sehr kalt, und es gab lange Cirrus-ähnliche Wolken mit langen dünnen Fäden, die über das Tal gezogen waren. Die Berge leuchteten im Sonnenschein, und Leute waren auf Langlaufloipen unterwegs. Es war perfekt, außer dass es absolut keinen Platz zum anhalten gab. Es war wirklich wunderschön und ich wünsche, daß ich das mit euch hätte teilen können.
