lol i like "disappearing lion".
but what's the post that made him mute you?

in general i think muting is a necessary feature (tho in hive's case it's tricky because you only get muted on frontends). given that there's 1000s communities to choose from, you can always pick one that welcomes you. a single community isn't exactly a platform, so if the admin doesn't want you maybe he needs that control.

having said that, you can always call them out on their bullshit or their pettiness to mute a nice guy that as far as can tell have never tried to harm or troll anyone. the "lion" has more attention and power so most likely you'll go unnoticed. but maybe not, who knows? how you do anything is how you do everything, so if this is how they treat people (or i might be biased because i know you), inevitably enough people will call them out.

i'm guessing he didn't like your comment on the downvote governance proposal.
@scooter77/downvoting-proposal-on-pob-why-i-vote-no-to-the-proposal

my stance is this. i can upvote/downvote whatever the fuck i want for whatever reason i want. whether it's "good behavior" or "bad behavior" isn't anybody's business unless i'm infringing their rights. fuck whoever tries to define "bad behavior" and push it down people's throats. shout out to ned, the kimjongun worshipper.

if a vote goes through it's "valid". there's no need to police you on why you did it. if you want control over people's behavior, the definition should be written in an objective language (as in code, as in 1s and 0s), not on human emotions like "this downvote is malicious!". whether downvotes should exist at all, or how it should be handled, i have no idea. but whatever definition the community settles on and is clearly defined mathematically i can live with.
