Well the moment we've all been waiting for has arrived. As I mentioned before, my crystal collection is quite extensive. It involves at least four shelf displays and some free standing pieces, (way too many to show them all, even though I would love to do that)
A large quartz crystal compliments our living room.
It is 8" and weighs about 5 lbs
An amethyst bloom sits in a shadow box, also in the living room .
This fibrous specimen is natural asbestos
Don't worry. Limited exposure won't cause cancer.
This colorful piece is Apophylite on Stilbite.
This pic came out much better than I expected
Another stilbite is one that Andrea got me for a birthday present when I first started collecting.
For obvious reasons, It is one of my favorites.
A favorite among collectors is the Selenite rose.
This cluster is large at 10" x 6". One of those had to have pieces.
This is a selenite point from "Cave Of Swords " in Chihuahua Mexico
These Selenites are the hardest in the world.
Here is a Chromium Quartz point with inclusions.
I may have mentioned it before, I'm not a green fan. But how do you say no to this cutie?
Citrine is a very pretty crystal.
This is dark citrine. Citrine is the result of Amethyst being exposed to extreme heat, like volcanic activity.
Here is an Ametrine cluster
A cousin to Citrine, it is Amethyst that has been exposed to extreme heat for a limited amount of time.
