Hello, Hive black-and-white photography lovers!
In a previous post, I mentioned my desire to celebrate—without needing a specific reason—or simply do something different to break the routine.
Well, let me tell you: a few days ago, without any prior planning, a series of perfect events unfolded right after the match between Argentina and England ended, leading to an unexpected celebration of Argentina's victory.
It all started at El Mejunje, the very place where we had been watching the game. Afterward, we were invited to a friend's house, where we were treated to an indescribable surprise: a sound system in perfect working order—a piece of equipment we all fondly remembered from the past, instantly bringing back cherished memories of days gone by.
I am certain that many generations—including those reading these lines—have never listened to music on a cassette player, let alone on vinyl records. These are two ways of listening to music, each with its own distinct and unique magic.

From Tchaikovsky and Beethoven to the great Ella Fitzgerald.
From Pablo Milanés to Tracy Chapman...
It was an unforgettable afternoon and evening. The house had a peculiar charm: a homegrown fan that defied all logic, yet allowed us to cool off amidst the heat.
The views from the balcony—looking out over the surroundings from an elevated vantage point—were quite interesting amidst the gray, cloudy atmosphere that enveloped us.
The celebration was accompanied by the tasting of a whisky I had never tried before; it was perfect for helping us relax between the melodies and the stories we were sharing.
I know there are those who have had—and indeed still have—the chance to listen to music on vinyl records and cassettes. They will surely understand and enjoy these images. Hopefully, the rest will too.
And so, amidst vinyl records and cassettes, I bid you farewell with a hug of light—until the next black-and-white frame!

Comenté en una anterior publicación sobre mi deseo de festejar sin pretexto alguno, o hacer algo diferente para romper la rutina.
Pues les cuento que, sin planificarlo previamente, hace unos días, cuando finalizó el partido entre Argentina e Inglaterra, se propiciaron una serie de acontecimientos idóneos para celebrar la victoria argentina como no lo esperaba.
Todo comenzó en el mismo Mejunje, sitio donde estábamos disfrutando del partido de fútbol. Luego, fuimos invitados a casa de uno de los amigos, quien nos sorprendió de manera indescriptible al tener un equipo de música en perfecto estado técnico y que todos añorábamos en la memoria y nos hizo recordar tiempos remotos gratificantes.
Muchas generaciones, que ahora pueden leer estas líneas, estoy seguro jamás han escuchado música en un equipo reproductor de casettes de cintas y mucho menos de discos de vinilo. Dos modos de escuchar música con magias diferentes, pero únicas.
Discos de un amplio espectro, todos invaluables...
Desde Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, hasta la gran Ella Fitzgerald.
Desde Pablo Milanés hasta Tracy Chapman...
Fue una tarde y una noche inolvidable. La casa tenía su encanto peculiar: un ventilador criollo que resistía a la invención de la lógica, pero nos permitía refrescar entre tanto calor.
Las vistas del exterior, en altos, desde su balcón, bien interesantes entre el gris de la atmósfera nublada que nos rodeaba.
La celebración estuvo acompañada de la degustación de un whisky que nunca había probado y vino estupendamente para relajarnos entre cada melodía e historias que nos íbamos compartiendo.
Sé que hay quien ha tenido, y tiene incluso, la chance de escuchar música de discos de vinilo y casettes aún. Ellos, comprenderán y disfrutarán seguramente estas imágenes. El resto, ojalá también.
Y así, entre vinilos y casettes, me voy despidiendo con un abrazo de luz, ¡hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro!
