Hello, coffee lovers!
It is such a pleasure to return to this space filled with that revitalizing aroma!
This week, @cinnccf encourages us to talk about
a visit to a coffee shop defined by the weather—whether it was a storm, a heatwave, or the first snowfall—and how the outside world influenced the atmosphere inside the café.
As for me, I live in Cuba—a country where many of us long to see snow, and where the stifling heat scorches us for most of the year.
Right now, we are going through the rainy season. Almost every afternoon, the rain makes an appearance, wherever we happen to be.
Luckily, the rain almost always catches me by surprise while I’m having a cup of coffee—like today, when everything suggests it won’t be any different.
Here I am, in Teresita’s Courtyard, under the pretext of having an exquisite espresso while pretending to charge my phone—since there is no electricity at home, a situation that has unfortunately been all too common for I don’t know how long now.
I am not the only one affected by the electricity situation. That is evident at this spot, where other people also come to charge their phones—fortunately, accompanied by coffee.
Time passes, my thoughts gallop off to distant places, the coffee embraces me, and I return to reality. The power has gone out here too, but fortunately, this café has a backup power system that allows us to keep charging our phones for at least a few hours.
I'm waiting for someone to chat with. I've already had three cups of coffee, and I think I'll have a fourth before I leave.
So, as I savor the aroma of another sip of coffee, I’ll say goodbye—but not without offering each of you a hug of light!
Never stop smiling!
This is my participation in the contest that @cinnccf proposes to us through the #CinnamonCupCoffee community.
Thank you very much for your visit!
