Hello Hive travelers!
Anyone who has visited Cuba will know that the climate here is very hot and humid. This makes it feel truly stifling for most of the year. Of course, there are those who like it, and even if they don't perceive it that way, they find it pleasant, especially those who live in countries with extremely cold climates. Personally, I think I would have liked to have been born in Iceland or Canada, because I find the climate there very pleasant.
Today, my workday was very short. I took the opportunity to go get some ice cream, and that way I can cool off a bit from the heat that has me sweating.
I started walking toward my city's main ice cream shop, called Coppelia, hoping they would have chocolate ice cream, my favorite flavor. Fortunately, I was surprised to find that they did have chocolate ice cream. Best of all, there weren't too many customers, so I quickly entered and found myself seated at a table with two different ice cream specialties.
Whenever I go to this place, nostalgia embraces me. As a child, I had the unique privilege of living in the hotel right next door, the Hotel Am茅rica. It was a wonderful time in my country. At the ice cream shop, the quality of the ice cream was truly excellent; the variety of flavors was finger-licking good all day long. Imagine how much I love chocolate ice cream, that as a child, the Coppelia employees would see me arrive and say Plan Jaba (a term used in Cuba for those who don't wait in line to buy something) and serve me ice cream with absolute priority. I had ice cream there so many times a day that I miss it.
The ice cream shop, as you can see, is a spacious place with a comfortable seating capacity for over a hundred people. It's pleasantly ventilated and well-lit, but the only regret is that the quality of the ice cream isn't the best these days. Still, it's nice to have something cold that reminds us of the real taste of ice cream.
I think I'm going to order another serving of ice cream even though it's almost melted, so I'll say goodbye for now.
Until next time on your travels along the roads of the world, please receive a big hug of light!
