Different perspectives on the same theater | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Hello, black-and-white photography lovers of Hive!

In a previous post, I shared how excited I was to discover this scale model and to see its invaluable connection to the theater it represents—the grand La Caridad theater.

Today, I want to show you more specific details of both structures: one small, the other gigantic. Both are sublime, despite the passage of time and the neglect that binds them together.

The theater was donated by Martha Abreu, the benefactress of Santa Clara, as long ago as the late 19th century. I have no idea who created the scale model, but I applaud them (or her—who knows if the creator was a female architect?). Both structures are well worth pausing to admire.

I had mentioned that they showed me the scale model in an abandoned courtyard; see for yourselves how the causal manifests in the obvious. The actual theater is truly abandoned.

At times, I wish the theater were surrounded by trees so that the surrounding air would be cooler. Who knows if that might happen in the future...

However, its beauty is real. It still possesses something that draws one in and, fortunately, endures.

Although I haven't been able to access the theater's interior or roof for some time now, I assure you there isn't much difference between what one can see inside the scale model and what lies beyond the theater's own walls...

I yearn for the serendipitous, and—hoping for better times for this theater—I bid you farewell for now until the next black-and-white frame, though not without sending each of you a warm embrace of light!

En una anterior publicación les hablé sobre cómo me emocionó descubrir esta maqueta y ver su inestimable relación con el teatro que representa, el gran teatro La Caridad.

Hoy, quiero mostrarles detalles más específicos de ambas construcciones, una pequeña, otra gigante. Ambas, sublimes, a pesar del tiempo y el abandono que les une.

El teatro fue donado por Martha Abreu, la benefactora de Santa Clara, en fecha tan lejana como finales del siglo XIX. La maqueta, no tengo idea de quién la hizo, pero mis aplausos para él (o ella, quién sabe si fue una arquitecta la autora). Ambas construcciones, dignas de detenerse en ellas.

Les había comentado que la maqueta me la mostraron en un patio abandonado, vean ustedes mismos cómo lo causal se expresa en lo evidente. El propio teatro de veras está abandonado.

Por instantes quisiera que el teatro tuviese árboles a su alrededor para que la temperatura que le rodea fuese más fresca. Quién sabe si en el futuro se logre...

Sin embargo, su belleza es real. Tiene aún algo que atrae y que por suerte persiste.

Aunque en esta ocasión no pude ingresar al interior y al techo del teatro desde hace algún tiempo, les aseguro que no hay mucha diferencia entre lo que uno puede ver dentro de la maqueta y más allá de las paredes del propio teatro...

Suspiro por lo causal, y con la esperanza de tiempos mejores para este teatro, me voy despidiendo por ahora hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro, no sin antes regalarles a cada uno de ustedes ¡un abrazo de luz!
