We all have faults, yes many people today only see faults in other people and don't concern themselves with themselves. They don't examine their own behaviour and if they themselves are doing something wrong. But it's not just a sign of the times. Thousands of years ago this problem existed. The Bible passage John 8:1-11 testifies to this.
Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. But early in the morning he appeared again in the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down and taught them. Then the teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought to him a woman caught in adultery. They put her in the middle and said to him, "Master, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Moses commanded us in the Law to stone such women. What do you say?" With this question they wanted to bring him to heel so that they would have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger. When they kept pressing him with questions, he stood upright and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." And he stooped down again and wrote on the ground. When they heard this, one by one they fled, the elders in front, until he was left alone and the woman before him. Jesus stood upright and said to her, "Woman, where have they gone? Has no one condemned you?" She answered, "No one, Lord." Jesus said: "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on sin no more."
Even then, people pointed out the mistakes of others and ignored their own.
Some say that the Bible is now an obsolete item and that it is no longer needed. I argue that its message is much more needed today than in the past. I am not saying that people should blindly believe in God, that is everyone's personal decision. But the moral message contained in the Bible is irreplaceable
