By this stage of the game, many American have been told by Mainstream Media that the reason President Trump authorized missile strikes on Syria was in response to a chemical attack which Assad waged on his own people. One must ask: In a world where non-combatants are slain all of the time by "Allies," why does the US government claim to care about the brutality of Assad during Syria's civil war? In order to reach a conclusion, let us look at some key facts about this situation:
- The Syrian Rebels (violent jihadist terrorists) have waged chemical weapon attacks against towns and cities in Syria for years; but in a double-standard, the US government never has a problem with them doing those atrocities- in fact, the US has given guns and money to those militants which they use to kill more civilians.
- President Trump telegraphed the missile strikes on Twitter (he claimed he would never do that): He warned taunted Russia that the missiles were coming, and they would be nice, new, and smart. What did he mean by that? The Pentagon authorized the use of the JASSM (an air-to-surface stealth cruise missile), which was launched via B-1 Bomber during the strikes on Damascus. According to the Defense Department, targets were taken out before the Syrian Integrated Air Defenses even activated (indicating that the JASSMs were launched and destroyed the Damascus university's medical research lab before the Tomahawks cruise missiles rained down on the helpless residents of Damascus.
- Contrary to the Mainstream Media's saber-rattling and beating of anti-Russian war drums: Mattis and Dunford basically admitted that they worked it out with the Russians that the US Coalition war-planes would not be shot-down during the operation; later on, Russian officials admitted that they had obtained assurances from the Pentagon ahead of time, that certain spots in Syria (ones the Russians actually cared about) would be off limits when the strikes on Damascus were carried-out.
In Conclusion: The World has witnessed a weapons commercial. The US Military Industrial Complex is selling the pricey JASSM to partners all across the World, and they needed to give a demonstration as to the effectiveness of that new cruise missile. after all, who would want to spend big money on a weapon which was never used in combat before?
Now Russia says they will sell the S-300 missile defense system to Assad in response to the strikes. And the US Allies will be more likely to not only buy the JASSMs, but also other weapon's technology used in the strikes against Damascus and Homs. In other words; this was not really over a chemical weapons attack allegedly carried out by Assad on his own people, it was about war profiteering and mission creep into Syria. Hey, the global elites have to keep on making money somehow.
