The only option left for us to do as believers when we are offended is to forgive. If we have an unforgiving heart and lack the ability to forgive we are just like the man in the parable that Jesus talked of a certain time to His disciples.
The man had a debt to the King which he could not pay. The man was meant to be our to prison for failure to pay their debt after the deadline elapsed. But after pleading, the King had mercy on the man and let him without having to pay the debt.
Meanwhile, the man had a servant who owed him also, far less than what the man owed the King. Instead of showing the servant the same kind gesture as the King had showed him, he beat the servant up and had Him thrown in jail until he paid his debt.
This is a clear scenario of what it looks like when we refuse to forgive those who offend us and let go, because of a truth or offense to God is far greater than any offense any man can do to us. But despite this, God forgave us and didn't require us to pay a dime for our sins. We should a well treat others in this same manner.
