I'm British, and in 2018, Russia tried to assasinate some people on British soil using a nerve agent, novochok. In the process they contaminated the city of Salisbury, and an innocent British woman died. The panic about which public spaces were contaminated and the clean-up costs were huge.

So as far as Brits are concerned, the only good Russian is a dead Russian, and we're happy to fund Ukraine to kill Russians (we've sent about £50bn ($75bn) of ammo, with 77% public approval of this). We Brits are really vengeful like that - there is a reason we've been to war with every country on earth apart from the Vatican city

I guess Americans are much more chilled and would have just shrugged if Novochok was deployed on American soil. A different culture results in a different viewpoint. It's a diverse planet, so every country approaches issues differently.

I just thought I'd explain, as there are a lot of Europeans on Hive (Germans, Brits, Finns) whose experience of Russia is different from that of the US.
