In the 'Sea to Summit' Everest expedition, we had to cross the Yamuna River for two reasons. First, I wanted to make my expedition completely vehicle-free (non-motorized or motorized). Second, I was not allowed to walk on the Yamuna Bridge. In this expedition, I found these wonderful people by my side while crossing the Yamuna River. In agriculture, science, sports, war, men and women have moved forward together and will continue to do so. This Yamuna River was one of the most important, risky and challenging parts of my expedition. While crossing the turbulent Yamuna River, I found two brave women by my side. Dr. Shahnaz Akter crossed the entire river and she (Sonia) got into the rescue boat a few hundred meters before the end.

We went down to the river at four in the afternoon to swim. A painful walk barefoot on the char that had risen in the chest of the Yamuna. We all arrived at the banks of the Yamuna River, which was about three kilometers long and raging, at 7:45 in the night. These few hours on the Yamuna River are one of the most challenging moments in life. I will tell the story of the rest in another article.
