Yup, you understood correctly.
Steam announced (leaked) that for the next 3 months, there will be a Steam Sale each month.
Here are the exact dates:
- Halloween Sale: Thursday 26th October to Wednesday 1st November
- Black Friday Sale: Wednesday 22nd November to Tuesday 28th November
- Winter Sale: Thursday 21st December to Thursday 4th January 2018
I do personally think that the highest discounts will be on the Winter Sale, yet... if you find games at or beyond 75%, this is usually the maximum Steam will discount.
