As @bxlphabet stated before, advertising decreases power down from Steemit Inc accounts, therefore it has a positive impact on STEEM price. I do not like it, but Steemit Inc must get funding from somewhere, and I think this is a good solution.

In the future, if that funding is not necessary anymore, I think advertising should work the same way promoted section works - by burning SBD.
