Yesterday I went with a friend for a walk to Madrid. I visited Madrid Río, a large park surrounding the Manzanares river. Much of the margins of the river were covered by the M-30, a massive ring road.. However, about 20 years ago the townhall decided to spend several billions of euros to cover it with tunnels. The debt has not been completely paid yet. Then, the surface was covered with a park.
