People are weird about how they fund what they fund.

People who are savvy / incentivized to come to HIVE will come to HIVE, people who are accepting reoccuring monthly USD payments will go to patreon -- and there are a bunch of people who are only interested in one time USD payments per Kickstarter campaign.

There are people who will back on monthly kickstarter campaigns.

There are people who are into ETH.

People who are into Gumroad.

People who will only pay you to do work for them, if they get to be your boss -- commissions.

People who are only willing to pay you to do work for them if they can extract more value from your work - freelancing.

It has a lot to do with comfort levels, and what incentives motivate people to participate in different economies, or on different platforms -- -- or so it seems.
