Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing amazing and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Today I wanted to do another #Splinterlands card spotlight, and this time I picked a card that honestly caught my attention the very first time I saw it. The card is, Nyasha Mbalika.
Not only does this card have one of the coolest artworks in the game (in my opinion), but its Black Foil variant currently costs around $199, which definitely puts it among the more expensive cards to own.
After looking closely at her abilities, I can actually understand why some players value this card so highly.
The first thing that stood out to me wasn't even the abilities.
It was the artwork.
Seriously, this card just looks awesome.
The pose, the colors, the red and black background, the bow animation, everything about it screams "dangerous assassin."
Looking at the stats:
Mana Cost: 8
Attack: 3 (Ranged)
Speed: 5
Health: 7
Armor: 1
At first glance, the stats don't look completely broken or overpowered.
But then you start reading the abilities.
And that's where things get very interesting.
Opportunity: Targets the enemy unit with the least health.
This allows her to always attack the enemy unit with the lowest health.
Honestly, Opportunity is one of my favorite abilities in Splinterlands.
Why?
Because it creates chaos.
Instead of attacking the tank, Nyasha goes hunting for weak supports and vulnerable backline units.
Sometimes eliminating one support unit early can completely change the entire battle.
Inspire: +1 melee power to all allied units.
This ability alone can make melee teams significantly stronger.
If you're already running multiple melee attackers, Nyasha basically boosts the entire team's damage output.
And honestly, Fire splinter already has some scary melee combinations.
Adding Inspire just makes them even more dangerous.
Return Fire: Returns 50% of damage to attacker when hit by a ranged attack.
This means that whenever Nyasha gets hit by a ranged attack, she returns 50% of the damage back to the attacker.
I actually really like defensive abilities like this.
Sometimes opponents don't even realize they're slowly damaging themselves.
Against ranged-heavy teams, this ability can become surprisingly annoying.
Especially when the enemy depends heavily on archers.
Stun: 50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their turn.
Now this is where things become scary.
Imagine:
Opportunity targets a weak support.
Inspire buffs your entire melee team.
Stun prevents the enemy from acting.
Meanwhile Return Fire punishes ranged attackers.
That's actually a pretty nasty combination.
A stunned unit losing their turn can completely change the outcome of a battle.
Now comes the big question.
Is the Black Foil version worth $199?
Honestly, probably not.
Mostly because I'm not rich enough to casually spend $199 on one #Splinterlands card.
But I can understand why collectors and competitive players might want it.
Reasons:
Amazing artwork
Legendary rarity
Strong ability combination
Very cool collector value
Beautiful Black Foil appearance
This feels like one of those cards that people buy because they both want to use it and show it off.
I think Nyasha works best when:
Running melee-focused teams
Using aggressive Fire lineups
Targeting enemy support units quickly
Playing medium to high mana battles
She probably isn't a card you throw into every lineup.
But when the conditions are right?
She can become a serious problem for your opponent.
Honestly, Nyasha Mbalika might be one of the coolest looking Fire cards I've seen recently.
She combines:
Strong offense
Team support
Defensive utility
Crowd control
All in one card.
And while I probably won't be buying the $199 Black Foil version anytime soon, I can definitely appreciate why collectors and high-level players value her so much.
Maybe one day I'll get lucky enough to pull one myself.
Anyway thats it for today’s #Splinterlands grind. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
