Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing great and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Alright, so it's time for another #Splinterlands card spotlight, and today I wanted to talk about a card that honestly surprised me quite a bit.
The card is, Grimshield Hexpriest.
At first glance, I didn't think much about this card. I saw the stats, saw that it was a Rare Death unit, and thought, "Okay, probably just another support card."
But after actually looking deeper into its abilities, I realized this card can be extremely annoying to play against, especially if your opponent relies on magic damage.
And honestly, that's exactly what makes it interesting.
Let's start with the stats.
At max level (Level 8), Grimshield Hexpriest has:
Mana Cost: 9
Magic Attack: 4
Health: 7
Armor: 4
Speed: 3
The first thing that caught my attention was the combination of high armor and decent magic damage.
Usually when I see magic units, they are pretty fragile. But Grimshield Hexpriest actually looks capable of surviving for a while.
And honestly, 4 magic damage is no joke.
Apex Strike: Targets the enemy unit with the most power.
This ability makes Grimshield Hexpriest attack the enemy unit with the highest attack power.
Honestly, this ability alone can completely change a battle.
Instead of wasting attacks on tanks, you can directly target the opponent's biggest threat.
Imagine deleting their strongest damage dealer before they can do serious damage.
That's pretty scary.
Magic Reflect: Returns 50% damage to attacker when hit by a magic attack.
This ability returns damage back to enemy magic attackers.
As someone who sometimes relies heavily on magic teams, I absolutely hate seeing Magic Reflect on the enemy side.
It forces opponents to rethink their strategy.
Void: 50% less damage from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power.
And if Magic Reflect wasn't enough, Grimshield Hexpriest also has Void, reducing incoming magic damage by 50%.
So not only does it reflect magic attacks, but it also takes less damage from them.
That's honestly kinda evil.
After looking at everything together, I feel like Grimshield Hexpriest fills a very unique role.
It acts as:
A damage dealer
A magic counter
A threat eliminator
A durable backline unit
That's a lot of value packed into one card.
Especially in battles where opponents depend on strong magic attackers, this card can become a nightmare.
Honestly, I think Grimshield Hexpriest is one of those cards that people might underestimate at first.
It doesn't look flashy.
It doesn't have some crazy legendary effect.
But when you actually analyze the abilities together, you realize this card can completely disrupt an opponent's strategy.
For me, the strongest part isn't even the Magic Reflect.
It's actually Apex Strike.
Being able to target the enemy's biggest threat immediately can win battles before they really even begin.
And adding Magic Reflect plus Void on top of that?
Yeah, that's just cruel.
Anyway thats it for today’s #Splinterlands grind. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
