Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing great and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
#Splinterlands has a lot of cards that grab attention because of their huge damage numbers or crazy abilities. But sometimes the real heroes are the support cards hiding behind the frontline. Today I want to talk about one of those cards, Endura Brune, a Legendary Water unit from the Conclave Arcana set.
At first glance, Endura Brune may not look like the strongest attacker in the game. She only deals 2 ranged damage at max level, but what makes her special is the amount of support she brings to the entire team.
At Level 4 (Max Level), Endura Brune has:
9 Mana
2 Ranged Damage
2 Armor
10 Health
4 Speed
For a support monster, 10 health is actually pretty solid. She can survive a lot longer than many other backline support units.
What really makes this card shine is the combination of her four abilities.
Amplify: Increases damage of Retaliate, Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns for all friendly units by 1.
Amplify increases the damage of:
Thorns
Magic Reflect
Return Fire
Retaliate
Corrosive Ward
by +1 damage for all friendly units.
This ability becomes very powerful when paired with monsters that punish enemies for attacking. A single extra point of reflected damage may not sound like much, but over the course of a battle it can completely change the outcome.
I personally love using Amplify teams in rulesets where melee attackers are forced to attack into Thorns.
Silence: -1 magic power to all enemy units.
Silence reduces the magic attack of all enemy monsters by 1.
Magic-heavy teams can be extremely dangerous, especially in higher leagues. Being able to weaken every enemy magic attacker at once is a huge advantage.
Sometimes a monster with only 1 magic damage becomes completely useless after Silence is applied. That alone can save several points of damage every round.
Against Water, Death, or Dragon teams that rely heavily on magic attacks, this ability can be a lifesaver.
Headwinds: -1 ranged power to all enemy units.
Headwinds reduces all enemy ranged attacks by 1.
This is another amazing support ability.
What I really like is that Endura Brune can counter two different attack types at the same time. Silence weakens magic while Headwinds weakens ranged attackers.
When facing ranged-focused strategies, this ability can reduce a lot of incoming damage across the whole enemy team.
Swiftness: +1 speed to all allied units.
Swiftness gives +1 speed to all allied monsters.
Speed is one of the most underrated stats in Splinterlands.
Higher speed means:
More chance to attack first
Higher chance to dodge attacks
Better overall battlefield control
A single point of speed can often be the difference between winning and losing.
When combined with naturally fast Water monsters, Swiftness can make your entire team feel much stronger.
What makes Endura Brune special is that she doesn't focus on only one thing.
She:
Boosts friendly reflection damage with Amplify
Reduces enemy magic damage with Silence
Reduces enemy ranged damage with Headwinds
Increases friendly speed with Swiftness
That's four useful support effects packed into a single monster.
Many support cards only perform one role, but Endura Brune helps both offensively and defensively at the same time.
I think this card becomes even stronger in longer battles because the value from her debuffs keeps adding up every round.
I have found Endura Brune works especially well in:
High mana battles
Magic-heavy matchups
Ranged-heavy matchups
Speed-focused Water teams
Reflect damage strategies using Amplify
She may not be the card that gets the final kill, but she often creates the conditions that allow the rest of the team to win.
Endura Brune is one of those cards that can be easy to overlook if you only look at attack damage. But once you understand how much value her abilities provide, you start seeing why she is a Legendary card.
Having Amplify, Silence, Headwinds, and Swiftness all together makes her one of the most versatile support monsters available to the Water splinter right now.
I honestly think this card will become a staple in many Water lineups because it offers utility against almost every type of enemy composition.
She may not look flashy on the battlefield, but Endura Brune quietly makes your entire team better. And sometimes that's exactly what wins games in #Splinterlands.
Anyway thats it for today’s #splinterlands grind. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
