Is media to blame, Or is it bigger than that?

When you look at how much war costs, in dollars, lives, and freedoms, I cannot see how a rational person would support any war which is not fought out of strict defensiveness necessity. Waging wars and bombing kids in countries where we make more enemies than we can kill all in the name of "national security" hardly makes sense.

Why do you think this is?

  • Is it a media which hyper-focuses on animosity and highlighting difference? Even now I can see the wheels turning and people positioning in support of a possible US/Russia conflict (as if we needed that).
  • Is it the politicians who have engineered a boogy-man for us to fear so that we give up our rights or will allow them to be taken so that we can feel the same BS security that the TSA and ATF give us on the daily?

Why are people believing this crap?

There could be many reasons. Public indoctrination (public schools), media polarization, social media manipulations etc etc. I would like to hear what you guys think the causes are and why people swallow this crazy pill. All I know is that places like Steemit will never be able to fall in the same way we have seen large establishments have recently.
