The more I travel about these later years, I realize I live in a beautiful little town too, if only the culture wasn’t so degrading and dumbed down. Kenneth Patchen wrote that he hates the rich but despises the poor. I feel the same. We are a very poor county who collectively cannot see the absolute wonder all around. We make it ugly, even with all this wealth compared to generations past. Political, tribal, careful, and salmonella in the factory eggs. All this beauty erupting in front of our faces, one would think to pay anything just to keep it. Conserve it. Hold it ready for the next generation. Oh well. Dream on Ron!
