Today I will show you two coins with the same theme: Chinese Traditions.
The first is a 2012 $.50 from Australia. It is the Lunar Year Series II - Year of the Dragon.
It weights 15,59g (.5oz) with 99.9% silver purity and Colorized Proof finish. Its mintage was 10,000 units.
The reverse shows a colorized dragon, with the Chinese symbol for dragon at the right.
The obverse shows the 4th portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" Tiara.
The second is a 2017 $8 from Canada. It is from the Chinese History and Traditions Series - Lion Dance, celebrating the Chinese New Year.
It weights 7.96g with 99.99% silver purity and Matte Proof finish. Its mintage was 30,000 units.
The reverse shows a Chinese stylized lion.
The obverse shows a bust of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt.
