Finally, the day has arrived and I am super excited and equally nervous. Travelling to Japan today and it's going to be a 24 hrs journey, so a very long travelling time. Starting from Muscat now in the morning, will reach Mumbai in the afternoon and then evening flight to Tokyo which will reach tomorrow morning. In Mumbai will have couple of hours before the next flight, so will chill out at the airport itself. If there was more time I could have gone home and cone back. But it's just 4 hrs before the check-in of next flight, and considering Mumbai traffic, I cannot take a chance to leave the Airport. It's going to be a 10 days Japan tour, covering Tokyo, Osaka, Fuji, Hiroshima and Kyoto. I know it sounds like a lot. Some are going to be day excursions. I have kept Tokyo and Osaka as base and from there travel to other places. I booked the flight ticket in the month of feb itself and then then later started planning my itinerary. I felt then I needed 2 days more because there is so much to see in this place. Anyways, I am happy. We are visiting quite a few places. I did not want multiple transits. As it is we are starting our journey from Muscat. I had to take the flight to Tokyo from Mumbai as my son will be joining us from Mumbai. Morning will land at 7.30 and then have arranged a pick up at hotel. Tokyo Airport is far from the city. So, that's going to be another 90 minutes of travel. That's why I said, I am excited and nervous. It's a long journey. After the trip, I again fly back to Mumbai and stay there for a couple of weeks. It's been more then 4 months since my last visit and a lot of work is pending to be done.
