Seven years ago, Dr. Doolittle, a celebrated veterinarian living in Victorian England, lost his wife. Now he leads a reclusive life and hides behind the high walls of his estate. Exotic animals from his collection-a restless and timid gorilla, a slightly silly duck, a wayward parrot and an ever-bickering team of a cheerful polar bear and a cynical ostrich-are his only friends. But when an unknown disease becomes a threat to the life of the young Queen, Dr. Doolittle has to leave his hideout and go on an incredible journey to the mythical island. In search of a cure for the Queen, he will come to grips with merciless enemies, meet strange creatures and will be forced to show remarkable courage and ingenuity.
