The near future, in which due to the cataclysm there was a complete glaciation of the Earth, and life survived only on a giant train, endlessly moving around the planet. The seats in the first cars of the train were bought by the rich, and their way of life is practically no different from the usual. The existence of the train is reminiscent of a concentration camp — disease, poverty, lawlessness taskmasters. The main character, Curtis, revolts, but every noble idea has its dark side.
